Small pores insulate.

Light, stable concrete.

The times demand the development of a construction material that is highly stable, lightweight, low-cost and insulating. By using aluminum powder for the production of aerated concrete, ALTANA is taking on this challenge. Aerated concrete is formed through the reaction of aluminum powder in aqueous-alkaline solutions; this reaction foams the concrete mass, forming numerous bubbles and pores. This makes the material lightweight and heat-insulating, while retaining its high strength. It is easy to work with and has a high thermal insulation coefficient.
