On the human resource performance indicators

As of the closing date of this report (Dec 31, 2011), the ALTANA payroll included 5,313 employees. This represents an increase of 7.6 percent compared to 2010, and is due to the positive economic situation during the reporting period. Compared to the previous year, the number of apprentices and interns in the Group has also increased. The share of female employees at ALTANA declined by 0.2 percentage points to 26.5 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.
