NANOBYK-3650: All-in-One Additive
As in many other areas, nanotechnology opens up new horizons in the coatings industry. So far, many users have been very interested in taking advantage of this state-of-the-art technology but have refrained from doing so because the handling of nano-additives required highly specialized know-how.
Being an innovative manufacturer of additives, BYK-Chemie has invested in nanotechnology from a very early stage and is now in the position to launch a new additive for long-term surface protection of solvent-borne coatings that provides all users with easy access to the latest in technology: NANOBYK-3650.
NANOBYK-3650 is liquid. NANOBYK-3650 is non-dusting and does not require extra protection. It is easy to dose. Incorporation of NANOBYK-3650 just needs low shear forces, which is time and energy saving. But NANOBYK-3650 is not only easy to use – BYK-Chemie has succeeded in bringing seemingly incompatible opposites into line: long-term scratch resistance and preservation of all other important paint properties like gloss, haze, flexibility and adhesion! NANOBYK-3650 exhibits optimum distribution over the whole of the coating and can even improve the flow. The result: depending on the application, no other surface active materials are needed.
