What have you done before you joined ALTANA?
After a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Cologne, I studied Business Management at the University of Cologne and graduated with a business degree (Diplomkaufmann).
I then worked as an Account Manager at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and Sydney. I was also an Analyst in Investment Banking at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Frankfurt. At Deutsche Bahn AG, Berlin, I was Project Manager Mergers & Acquisitions.
Which positions have you held at ALTANA to date?
From July 2006 to October 2009 I was Head of Corporate Development Effect Pigments at ALTANA AG. Since then, I have been the Global Business Line Manager Cosmetics at ECKART GmbH.
You have already gotten to know some divisions and sites of ALTANA. What characterizes the employees at ALTANA?
Every employee in all function levels of ALTANA is challenged to contribute their own ideas and creativity, also beyond the scope of their everyday work activities. The willingness to embrace change, open communication, diversity and individuality promote innovation as crucial success factors for the future. The international focus and network also makes it interesting to work at ALTANA.
What does innovation mean to you?
Taking new paths in order to develop solutions and products for our customers that create a decisive competitive advantage and thus added value. It is important to recognize trends and impulses early on, examine them in terms of their feasibility and to successfully establish them on the market to the benefit of the customer.
What do you do in your free time?
Sports (fitness, endurance) and travel.
