Wesel, November 5, 2020 – Dr. Christian Przybyla (51) will become Chairman of the Management Board of ECKART GmbH, based in Hartenstein near Nuremberg, Germany, on March 1, 2021, and will thus also take over the global management of ECKART, one of the four divisions of the specialty chemicals group ALTANA. He will succeed Dr. Wolfgang Schütt, who is leaving the company at his own request on February 28, 2021 to pursue new challenges outside the ALTANA Group. In his new capacity, Dr. Christian Przybyla, the current Chief Technology Officer of the ELANTAS division, will also become a member of ALTANA AG’s Executive Management Team.

Dr. Christian Przybyla joined the ALTANA Group in April 2015 as Chief Technology Officer of ELANTAS. In this capacity, he was responsible for the division’s research and development activities, most recently from Korea. Before the doctor of chemistry joined the ALTANA Group, he spent 15 years in various management positions at Akzo Nobel.
